Origin — Japan
At the southern tip of Kyushu, Kagoshima's volcanic soils and warm climate create conditions unlike anywhere else in Japan. Our KYU and ZEN matcha are grown here, shaded for over 20 days before the first harvest. A practice that concentrates chlorophyll, L-theanine, and the deep umami that defines ceremonial-grade matcha.
The Kanayamidori and Okuyutaka cultivars we source are prized for their exceptional sweetness and near-zero astringency characteristics that take decades of careful cultivation to achieve.

Origin — Japan
Nestled in the mountains of central Honshu, Shizuoka is Japan's most prolific tea-growing region. Our REN matcha is sourced from a single organic farm where the Yabukita cultivar has been cultivated for generations.
The cooler mountain climate and autumn harvest give REN its distinctive clean, refreshing character, a bright, grassy profile that sets it apart from the richer Kagoshima expressions.
